ESCANABA – The Waterfront Art Festival will soon take place in beautiful Ludington Park, near the Karas Bandshell. This art festival, which is approaching its 50th year, will feature exhibitors and vendors from all over the Upper Peninsula and beyond! Artists and vendors will exhibit their works at the festival on Saturday, August 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Artists working in any medium, including jewelry, photography, pottery and more are welcome to apply.
This juried art festival normally attracts over 3,000 people a year, offering patrons the valuable opportunity to view and purchase works by talented artists, grab a bite to eat at one of the many food vendors and engage in conversations with peers and viewers from around the world. area, while enjoying a summer day in Escanaba’s beautiful Ludington Park. Artists and patrons can also enjoy the festival itself, with its live music, entertainment, art raffle tent, delicious food and activities.
Waterfront offers a great opportunity for people to shop for hard-to-buy friends and family, or buy something special for themselves or their home. “Come to the Waterfront Art Festival this year where you’ll see many of the same artists you’ve come to know and love, and even some new ones,” Paula Jordan, Bonifas Events Coordinator, said.
Additionally, the Waterfront Art Festival will once again host the Young Artists Market (under the signature blue and white tent), showcasing original works by local youth (18 and under). The Kids Art/Activity Tent will also be back this year! To help enliven the crowd, talented bands and entertainment will be performing on the bandstand stage all day during the festival.
