District-wide student art exhibit returns after two-year hiatus | Positively Chippewa Valley

CLEAR WATER (WQOW) – A pop of color covers the hallways of the Eau Claire Area School District administration building.

On Friday night, the neighborhood hosts its Spring 2022 Art Show. More than 1,000 pieces will be on display from K-12, from paintings and drawings to pottery and jewelry.

The courses focused on different themes such as Tim Burton self-portraits, African masks, shapes and colors.

District leaders said they hadn’t had the show for two years due to the pandemic, and it would be great to see students and families wandering the halls and enjoying the artwork again. .

“I’m very excited for this because it’s been several months into the planning process and I know the art teachers are very excited to be able to start again,” said Amanda Brill, ECASD Academic Services Coordinator. “It’s been a long time coming. We’ve really missed having student art in the hallways and knowing that students can come see their work and go, ‘It’s mine!’ and be very proud of it.”

If you can’t attend the art exhibit, it can also be viewed during opening hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. until mid-May.
